Webinar Info:
From the humble beginnings of a badly written email, claiming to be a deposed royal with millions of dollars to transfer into your bank account, cyber criminals have evolved their tactics, techniques and procedures. They are now much more professional in their approach and have been focussing their attention on data. Whether encrypting it with Ransomware or stealing it and threatening to publish it publicly, they know that data is highly valuable to businesses.
With enterprising entrepreneurs developing platforms and applications, leveraging technologies like AI, machine learning and the blockchain for the Web3 world, the cyber criminals are watching and waiting. But these people are opportunists. If they find something was built with security in mind and is difficult to compromise, they will move on and look for an easier target.
It's also crucial for all organisations to ensure that they are compliant with the various legislations in the different jurisdictions that they intend operating in, so having some best practice measures in place can help address these requirements.
In this lunch and learn session, Liam will talk about:
Me and my company blurb:
Liam has over 30 years of experience working in IT, originally as a programmer way back in the 80s before moving into networking, infrastructure and security in the 90s. He has worked with people at all levels and has the ability to explain scary technical topics and boring legal subjects in a language that most people can relate to and understand.
Liam founded L2 Cyber Security Solutions in 2016 and it's maxim is #SecuritySimplified. This matches Liam's desire to bring easy to comprehend, cyber security awareness to everyone. Liam specialises in helping micro, small and medium businesses, and charities, as they usually don't have the in-house IT or cyber security support which larger corporates do.
L2 Cyber Security offers up-to-date, fun and easy to follow cyber security awareness training and GDPR awareness training. Since the HSE incident in May 2021, our cyber security assessment service has been very popular. We can also help organisations plan and prepare for the worst with our business resiliency planning.
